The place was a great size and layout for our group of multiple families with children. It was an easy hike /ski to the base (and had the whole mountain been open we could have skied to the stairs leading to the complex ). The kitchen and entertaining space were great and the staff was very responsive for any questions . Highly recommend.

Basecamp was a great location with easy access to the mountain and the town of Winter Park.
The hosts were very responsive and checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure that we were comfortable.

Winter Park Lodging is the best service for home rentals in town. Base Camp 494 was a lovely property although I think the ski in/ ski out designation is over stated. Skiing in was possible with a short walk but skiing out required quite a hike uphill in snow in ski boots with equipment, not really practical not to mention those of us who need to adjust to the altitude.

Very clean, spacious location for a multi-family trip. Fantastic kitchen space for wanna-be chefs to play! The bedding worked well and was comforable for our group as well....older, large kids. Hosts were excellent and easy to contact when we needed them. We hope to get to return!

First time at Winterpark skiing and this home did not disappoint. All the logistical aspects were seamless and management company responded immediately when had issues getting the door lock to work (there's a trick). Very clean and everything one needs for a vacation. Note that the walk up to the ski trail is some effort but even our 9 year old did it. Just leave your skis up at top if you come back for lunch. We didn't figure out the bus schedule but really didn't need it. Hot tub isn't that large (4 person - but really 3 adults max) but is right outside door so you keep warm. Definitely recommend the home and Mgmt firm.

We all loved this property! The parking is a on the small side for 2 vehicles and so many folks but the lodging company helped us get our other vehicles to a good spot. Super clean and comfortable. Nice to come and have lunch and get back out easily to enjoy the afternoon. We thought it was a great fit for our group of 9 adults/older kids. Hope to come back!

This house was amazing. It had more than enough space, beds, bathrooms, seating, etc. It was beautiful and clean and perfect for hanging out in the living room or kitchen/dining room. Great looking kitchen and appliances and stocked cabinets of all the dishware and cookware you'd need. Probably the only 2 negatives would be that the hot tub was a little small, but that was fine...it was still a great hot tub and even had party lights! And the other was that the ski in/out is more like hike in/out to the trail - the 'walking path' as described is a trail through the woods which is covered in snow and ice. It's not a bad hike or too long but it's not an easy walk down a shoveled, paved path as I had pictured. But we were ok with doing that. It's a quick and easy 15 minute walk to the Winter Park village so you can pretty much leave your car parked most of the time while there unless you're doing grocery shopping or going to the town of Winter Park (but there is also a free shuttle for that). I would definitely stay here again and hope to do that sometime soon and will share the Winter Park Lodging info with any of my friends that ask - I know a lot of people that do ski trips and many have already asked about the info because they saw the pics we posted of the house and want to stay there too.

Wow, the Winter Park Lodging staff was nothing less than exceptional. Base Camp 494 was also one of the best locations to the slopes I've ever stayed at. I was with a group of 10 people and everyone said they'd book the same place again through Winter Park Lodging 100%.

We stayed at Base Camp 494 this summer and LOVED it! The space is great for two families since there are large bedrooms and bathrooms and the lower level tv room is great for kids. Hot tub looks out to the evergreens and we enjoyed it every night. Really large kitchen stocked with everything you need which is awesome for cooking at home. We were able to walk out to some ski area trails and enjoy the cool mountain air. Winter Park Lodging Company was second to none with their communication and brought us extra hot tub towels as soon as we asked. You can tell this home is run by professionals!

We had a tremendous stay at the Base Camp 494....so easy to get out and in from skiing. Loved that we could enjoy a soak in our own hot tub at the end of each day.....I skied the bumps! We truly enjoyed working with the Lodging Company....fabulous folks over there. We do hope to come back for next late season skiing...it was so great and we even got fresh snow storms! Thank you.

Our family has been coming to Winter Park for Christmas since 1994 and this year's vacation was the absolute best ever. We have twice previously rented at Base Camp but this year's stay at BC494 was truly memorable. The property was immaculate. The kitchen was fully outfitted and all of the appliances worked (...you know what I mean). Upon arrival there was complementary wine and a charcuterie plate. The hot tub/spa was sparkling and fully sanitized...the grandchildren loved splashing after ski lessons. WPLC provided extra cool mist vaporizers to accommodate our family. On Day #3 they delivered a colorful Christmas tree with lights and ornaments. WPLC follows all CDC guidelines regarding disinfection and social distancing - they thoughtfully asked us to be out of the house when they decorated the tree. There were routine check-in text messages from WPLC staff to inquire about any concerns (none!) We rarely used our car except for grocery runs. The frequent WP free shuttles took us everywhere. In summary, BC494 was an extraordinary venue and an extraordinary value for a family of 10. You will not be disappointed with any of the Base Camp properties and you will be delighted with WPLC's professional and caring support of its renters. Happy New Year to all!

We gathered with our extended family for a week-long getaway. We were extremely comfortable with 5 kids (18 months - 6 yrs old) and 4 adults. The property was exceptionally nice for this age range because of the surrounding creeks & rivers that provided quick access to fun short hikes and exploring. We loved the ability to explore without having to pack up the entire family in the car and go somewhere. Quick drives to Grand Lake & Rocky Mountain National Park added to a great overall experience.

The Basecamp 494 property is a nice and updated place with plenty of space for people to be together in the kitchen, dining table and living room. The description on accessing the ski run is a bit misleading: "walk the short path to the Corridor ski trail". The access is really via a slight uphill walk past another townhouse and then a windy footpath in the woods to a set of stairs with about 100 steps up. This is not the end of the world, but also not a walk in the park with ski boots on and carrying skis/poles. My stay did encounter a maintenance problem and Winter Park Lodging Company was very proactive on trying to resolve it and helping my group with alternatives.

The unit more than met our expectations for a group of nine adults and four children. The open kitchen/dining room was fantastic with a table that truly can seat a large group. We had young children with us and they could sleep soundly while the adults stayed up in the living room. Everything was as billed with more than enough bedding and towels for the hot tub. Additionally, we came during a large snowstorm and the plows are quick and came repeatedly during the day. Of note, there is a shuttle bus to bring you to the resort but the walk to the pick up location is a little far for young children in ski boots. Very doable for adults. Since we had a few non-skiers in the group, we used our own cars to shuttle us to the resort and avoid the walk. The management team was attentive and alerted us the day before that early check-in was available. Additionally, they called to check in before leaving for the day to ensure that we had everything we needed on our first night. Definitely consider this property for large group gatherings, you will not be disappointed!

Base Camp 494 was great... just a few things... Master bedroom mattress was terrible. Main living room tv (had to call twice to get it to work properly). But, someone came out right away... which is a plus :).

Green bus route stops by the ski shop at the bottom of the hill, and will take you to town if you don't want to drive. Attached garage is nice.

Another great family reunion at the Base Camp Condos. Kitchen was extremely well furnished. Plenty of chairs, linens, beds and room for all of us. Any needs were quickly met by friendly, caring Winter Park Lodging employees... can't say enough nice things. MANAGER'S COMMENTS...We are so proud to be part of your annual reunion. We had a wonderful time and the home was perfect for our group! Just FYI for you, we tried to watch a movie on the main level but it kept cutting out and we didn't know if it was from the blue tooth or what but something with the player isn't connected right. We watched the movie downstairs just fine. Everything was great and we can't say enough - we plan to come back again next year!

Winter Park Lodging Company staff

Our family enjoyed staying at Base Camp 494!! The location was perfect for walking to Winter Park Resort and when we went into town we just hopped on the free shuttle. The house has a lot of space to spread out but also has an open layout to all be together. The master bathroom could use a window shade since there is a two way fireplace, the sun just shines right into the master bedroom. Also the guests that slept in the double queen room said it was hot and stuffy even with both windows open. Other than those two things we had a wonderful stay! Thank you!

Our extended family of 11 stayed at 494 at Base Camp in Winter Park for 3 nights July 21-24th for a family reunion. Our family of 11 had enough room to enjoy time together and time alone within the house. We used the house to spend time with our other extended families for dinner each night. The kitchen and dining area is large enough to handle our 22 people very comfortably. The house is in very good condition overall. We could walk to the base camp area in less than 10 mins. We would certainly stay at 494 in the future.

The customer service, app with all information included, the town home, the creek, scenic views...all of it was spectacular! The house had everything we needed as if we were home. Our family of 6 along with our best friends family of 6 stayed at Base Camp. It was incredible from the start. The customer service, app with all information included, the town home, the creek, scenic views...all of it was spectacular! The house had everything we needed as if we were home. The resort had wonderful activities for all to enjoy. I'm pretty picky and I would definitely recommend this place.

We had 11 people in our party and needed a place where everyone had a bed. We found it at Base Camp 494. This 4 bedroom provided the room we all needed to be together and then to have our own space. The kitchen and dining area represent an open concept making it nice to have a family gathering. We provided dinner for 23 people each night in the kitchen and dining and never felt uncomfortable. The location is a convenient 8 min walk to base camp. The management company continued to check on us to make sure everything was going well. Really appreciate how they took care of all items. We certainly will return!

Wonderful condo with lots of great features. Needed access to a swimming pool to on my return list. Wonderful to have dishes and silverware for 24! Please buy new knives. These were not good and dull enough to be dangerous!,

A great time was had by all. There were 14 of us for only 2 nights and 13 thereafter. We had 4 cars which turned out to be no problem for parking...the area reserved for snow removal in front of the condo was available. In the winter this could make for a difficult situation. Overall, an outstanding facility. Manager's Comments...So glad you had a wonderful week with the family. In the winter time there is an additional overflow lot that extra cars are allowed to park in. Hopefully we will see you again this winter!

This Winter Park slopeside property is a host's dream. The wonderful stove-oven setup, along with the beautiful dining and living room areas, make for the perfect accoutrements for entertaining friends and family. Then after some golden indoor moments,adventures on the slopes are a brief walk away.

House itself was wonderful...met our needs! We were very disappointed that it was NOT a ski in/out as was advertised. Manager's Comments...So happy to hear you enjoyed your time in the house. While we don't advertise the house as pure ski in/ ski out, we may have implied it in our descriptions. Marketing has rewritten the descriptions to show a more accurate report. Come back and see us again. We'll find a better ski in/ ski out property for you.

Base Camp 494 is the condo that we use for all of our meals and gathering time with all 32 people in our party. The bed configuration in each room is great for families and the living area has lots of places to sit. The only issue was the windows in the upstairs bedroom with the two queen beds. The windows are stuck and won't open. With the radiant heat it gets very warm in the upstairs bedrooms. The thermostat was set at 65 in that bedroom but it never went below 75. Everyone I've talked to at the Winter Park Lodging Co. are incredibly polite, courteous, and extremely responsive! Thank you! Manager Comments: Thanks for letting us know about the upstairs windows. We will check those out asap. We will also be checking in with the heat in there. It should be easier to control/regulate those zone better. Thank you! We hope to see you again next year.

The property was beautiful and convienentl located. Loved the 3 fireplaces and all the help we got from the property management company. Beautiful kitchen! I wished for a full size washer and dryer but we were able to cope. Thanks

I have stayed at many properties at WPR with WPLC over the past 10 years. This by far was the most amazing property so far. There were 9 men from all over the country for a boys ski getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us and our gear. The kitchen was amazing for the chefs in the group and the hot tub was needed after shredding all day. We will return to basecamp 494.

From the moment Courtney answered the phone, I knew I was in great hands! From lining up shuttle service from the airport, delivery of skis right to our doorstep, discounted lift tickets, the name of a good doctor for a sick child and the delivery of a sick basket. Traveling with three mothers, eight children, our accommodations were perfect! Basecamp 494 gave us plenty of room to spread out, enjoy the hot tub and let's not forget the three fireplaces! What was extra special, having the feeling of our own personal concierge, trust me… The entire staff was fantastic helping me with any questions I had once we arrived in Winter Park!! Thank you so much for making this trip a wonderful experience with lots a great memories!!! This all coming from a General Manager with Hampton Inns!!! Their score.... A perfect 10!!!
