By June, Posted: 08/11/2021The accommodations couldn't have been better for our three generations to share time together. There was room for everyone to spread out with plenty of bathrooms and even a convenient half bath off the kitchen area. The sights, sounds and smells of the trees, waterfall, birds off the back deck were just so soothing. It was an easy drive down to the ski basin for a day of fun at the alpine slides, which the grandkids loved. The kitchen had everything you could ask for. I had wondered if we'd get uncomfortably warm this time of year, but that was not an issue at all; the mornings and evenings were pretty chilly and the fireplace was fun to turn on with the flip of a switch for ambience and to take the chill off. Overall, we just loved this place and can't wait to come back!
MANAGER COMMENTS: Well right on! We are all so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the Base Camp 472. It's a lovely, wooded location. We'd love to host you again so please reach out whenever we can help get you back out this way.
By James, Posted: 07/14/2021We visit Trestle Bike Park every summer. This is by far the best place I have ever stayed. Service is impeccable. Super friendly and responsive. Home is gorgeous and next to soothing running water. Plan on staying again!!
MANAGER COMMENTS: Thanks so much James. The Base Camps are a terrific spot to enjoy the Resort....especially Trestle! Please think of us again and we look forward to working with you!
By Michael, Posted: 03/30/2021The house was a great way for us to accommodate two parents and three adult children without having to deal with hotels. There was plenty of space and privacy, and large common areas. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the kitchen tools that one would need. Bathrooms also had the necessary items and the right amount of towels. We also enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing (conditions were perfect, in mid-winter shape). Some minor quibbles that did not detract from the overall experience: mattresses (especially the bunk beds) were overly soft, dining room chairs were not the right size for the table (or vice versa), there were no drawers/shelves for clothing in the upstairs master bedroom. The promoted Corridor trail that leads to the Gondola is much more work than advertised, especially climbing three flights of stairs with equipment after walking across snow-covered hills from the house to the stairs for perhaps 100 yards. But as I said, these are quibbles and we would happily stay there again.
MANAGER COMMENTS: Thanks for letting us know. We'll visit about mattresses, chairs and clothes storage in the property. The rugged nature of the lay of the land made direct trail access a bit tricky so the stairs were the best/safest option by design. Please give us a call and we'll gladly find a property with easier access for your next stay if needed.
By Christie, Posted: 01/11/2021Beautiful home, gorgeous location. Management company was very responsive and accommodating. We can't wait to come back!
MANAGER COMMENTS: We are excited to host you again. Thanks for coming to stay with us!
By Chris, Posted: 07/07/2020Great property and location . Beware master bedroom has no blinds . Be prepared to wake up early .
MANAGER COMMENT: Good point on the blinds. Vacations are for sleeping in. We've shared your feedback with owners and hope to get some window coverings in there before your next stay.
By Kathy, Posted: 04/23/2019We really enjoyed our stay. Your communication was wonderful all the way through. Place was clean and very comfortable. Would have been nice to have coffee filters and more condiments.
MANAGER COMMENTS: Thanks Kathy. We are working on providing coffee filters. The condiments are bit trickier since most of them are perishable and we can't have folks getting sick by using them when they are left behind. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us overall and hope to host you again.
By Seth, Posted: 02/25/2019This place was terrific. So close to skiing and laid out very well for our group. The couples with the kids could all be in their own level and the other couple could be downstairs in their own private area. Very nicely furnished and clean. We would surely come back again.
MANAGER COMMENTS: Awesome. Thanks for sharing your stay with us Seth. Please do call us again when you come back this way.
By Shelly, Posted: 08/20/2018Great spot for a getaway. We enjoyed having access to the trails on the mountain just a short hike away and such a pretty wooded area back in there. Great layout for everyone to enjoy together or find their own little spaces. We'll let our friends know.
MANAGER COMMENTS: Thanks Shelly. We'd love to host you up this way again when you travel back.
By Grace, Posted: 02/03/2018This place is terrific. There was amble space for our 5 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen/dining areas is so great. Soaker tub in Master bath is not to be overlooked...so relaxing! We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks!
MANAGER COMMENTS: Great! So pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Do let us know when you next visit the mountains.
By Steve, Posted: 04/16/2017Base Camp 472 was all it was pictured to be and more. This was the perfect home for the family. With lots of space, large kitchen and dining area. The hot tub on patio hit the spot after a day on the slopes. We can't wait to return.
MANAGER'S COMMENTS...Cooking and eating all together is such wonderful thing. Glad we could provide the spot for you and your family to enjoy those meals and memories.
By Alvaro, Posted: 01/07/2017Our families had a fantastic time sharing this great home!! Besides being in a ski in and ski out location, it has everything you can possibly need. All the rooms were spacious, well kept and enjoyable. We did not want to leave, just to give you an idea. We most definitely recommend it, and hope to be back to stay in the future!!
MANAGER'S COMMENTS...We loved the snowman you built! We named him Fred. Come again soon.
By Jesse, Posted: 12/30/2016We always enjoy staying at the base camp properties.
By Melanie, Posted: 12/23/2016Great service. Great house. Fun times.
MANAGER'S COMMENTS...Well said!
By Dorothy, Posted: 01/20/2016Our group had a wonderful weekend at the Condo's at Base Camp. The Winter Park Lodging Company employees are the very best. Very polite, courteous, and extremely responsive to our needs.
By Vickie, Posted: 01/03/2016This is the second year we have stayed at Base Camp 472. We actually enjoyed it so much last year, that we reserved it again for this season. It is so roomy and easily accommodates 12. The ease to the slopes is a plus as well. We ski in the morning and ski in for a lunch break!
By Kara, Posted: 12/21/2015Wonderful home with all the amenities. Management service was extremely accommodating and responded immediately when needed.
By Curtis, Posted: 12/19/2015We loved the beautiful house we stayed at and what stuck out the most was the service provided by the resort. Everyone was very professional, courteous and truly went out of their way to help us with any questions. The only suggestion we have is for the resort to try to make the understanding of the bus routes a little bit more clear. Otherwise there wouldn't be any reason we wouldn't revisit. Thanks for the feedback. We are implementing a new way for our guests to view where the shuttle bus stops are on their route. We have placed markers of where they are on the map in relation to property location. We hope this will alleviate any future confusion. We hope to get to host you again sometime!
By Donald, Posted: 11/30/2015We truly had an incredible Thanksgiving vacation. It was great to have our entire family with kids and grandkids in the same house. The location adjacent to the Jane and to the base of Winter Park made everything very convenient. I am confident our family will return soon. Manager's Comments...We are so happy we could help you make those lasting family memories.
By Andy and Sue, Posted: 03/11/2015We had a great stay. Great location. Very clean and we'll appointed. Two thumbs up! By AJS
By Kent, Posted: 01/05/2015Base Camp 472 was more than we expected, pletny of room and the facilities were excellent. Even though we had no personal contact with your employees (none needed during our stay) due to your conveninet check in and check out system, we appreciagted all the set up, cleanliness, and had everything we needed for our 11 person stay; it was all there and available. Our Denver family guests who use Winter Park a lot really appreciated the convenince and ski in / out trail and stairs to lower mary jane. Our young ones, 7 and 5 loved the ski school, and babies (2 - 3 year olds and a 6 month old) enjoyed the spaciousness of 472 with plenty of room to work off their energy since they went outside rarely due to the cold. The place was perfect for what we needed for our 5 day stay. Thank you.
By Victor, Posted: 12/30/2014Winter Park Lodging Co. was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. The townhome was fabulous with plenty of space for our group of 10 to spread out and not feel on top of each other. The ski-in/out access was a struggle for our younger children (ages 5 & 7) so we preferred to take the shuttle bus, which seemed to run very consistently and we never waited more than 10 minutes coming or going.
Q: How many lounge areas does this town home have?A: These town homes all have 2 lounge areas. One on the lower level and one on the main level.
Q: Is there a bedroom on the main level?A: No, there are no bedrooms on the main level. There is one bedroom/bath on the lower level and 3 bedrooms/baths on the Upper level.
Q: How many people does the dining room table seat?A: The dining room table seats up to 10 people comfortably with 3 additional seats at the bar.
