All aboard the Amtrak Winter Park Express — the easiest way to travel between Denver and Winter Park. The ski train is back for the 2022 season, and with fares as low as $29, it’s the most economical way to get yourself out of the city, and into the mountains.
While on board, you’ll enjoy a trip in Coach class — featuring wide, reclining seats with a big picture window, ample legroom, and no middle seat. Be sure to visit the bi-level Sightseeing Lounge — offering panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and Moffat Tunnel upstairs and café service with snacks and drinks for sale downstairs. Pack your skis, and feel free to use them as one of your allowed carry-on bags for no additional charge. All skis will be placed in a dedicated baggage storage upon departure to allow for plenty of legroom and space in the cabin.
The ski train will run each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for 12 consecutive weekends — from the weekend of January 14th – 16th through the weekend of April 1st – 3rd. The Winter Park Express travels between Denver Union Station (DEN) and Winter Park Resort (WPR).
