Base Village Loft 102

We stayed at Base Village Loft 102 for Spring Break at the beginning of April 2024 and absolutely loved it. The customer service and communication exceeded my expectations. The condo is extremely well appointed but even the random couple of items we requested in addition were taken care of within hours. The location is pretty unbeatable. You'll walk to skiing, dining, shopping, etc. The condo itself was clean and the finishes were quality. I think our experience was as close to perfect as you can get on a ski vacation.

Everyone I spoke with at Winter Park Lodging was polite and helpful (even the after hours on call person). The unit was clean and in great shape. Prime location. At no fault of anyone, it should be noted - ALOT of stairs are required for this unit. We had babies and an elderly couple making it a tad difficult to come and go. Otherwise, it was a perfection experience.

We loved every minute of our stay! The location in the Winter Park Resort could not have been better! The condo had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for convenience to the ski lifts and village amenities!

Regular visitor and longtime customer of Winter Park Lodging Company, (WPLC) Base Village Loft 102 was a unique and excellent unit. Why do I look forward to renting from WPLC? Ultimately, it is the consistency across the units they manage that set them apart from "normal" vacation management companies. Their "standard amenity checklist" that each unit is stocked with is as good as it gets - from kitchen to cleaning supplies to anything else you can think of - WPLC makes sure their units have it, you won't spend your vacation shopping for basic supplies. Base Loft 102 is huge, by far the largest square footage in the WP base area. Huge closets, huge kitchen, huge bedrooms, tons of seating, large luxurious bathrooms. It is also extremely private. Unit has better wifi and TV service than Zephyr, which was a nice upgrade. The only downside (and I am really nitpicking here, hard to complain about anything) are the stairs and the parking. The stairs at WP's elevation are tough, even for fit healthy folks. Mind you, they are the reason you are in such a large private unit, but it was an issue. You get your own garage with the loft, which is awesome. But the location on the upper deck of parking deck can make it a challenge to get in and out -- WP needs a better pedestrian drop off area - lots of cars in a small area. Lastly, take the above "complaints" as they are intended, very minor, small items that did not detract from our vacation. Base Loft 102 is a Corvette - a fantastic place to stay in WP - what makes it unique is what makes it so special.

This is our second year booking with this same condo and company, and we are always thrilled to stay here. The location is amazing, as is the customer service and maintenance support. Their constant communication, text check ins, and salutations are exceptional and we have nothing negative to say. The amenities are incredibly accommodating inside and outside the facility. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVE this Base Loft! We have stayed here many times now and highly recommend it. Perfect location, beautiful and comfortable decor, stocked with anything you may need and great communication from staff. The deck overlooking the village is so nice for people watching or just looking at the mountains. Can’t say enough about this condo!

Loved being right above it all. Enough room to spread out a bit vs Zephyr condos where we used to stay. LOVED having a private garage for our gear and vehicle. Wish hot tubs could be private but there's only so much deck space for these spots. We did get access to the tubs at the Zephyr but it's a bit of a walk. Terrific communications with our host. Hope to return next ski trip.....thank you!

This Condo was perfect for our needs and in great shape. It is nicely decorated and has been well taken care of. Everything that we used worked as expected. It's in a very convenient location in the central resort village. While this area is busy during the day, it was quiet in the late evening and overnight. There was free summer parking in the adjacent parking lot and private garage. We had two families share the unit. The configuration worked well for us, giving us separate spaces downstairs with room to meet upstairs as a group.

We loved all the activities available at the mountain and being able to walk out the door to them. Unit was nicely decorated and clean. Suggestion is the TV's in the unit need a written guide as to how to get to comcast or use Netflix. There are several remotes with every TV and they are all different. You need to know what HDMI goes to what devices. Every time you turn on the Livingroom TV you have to go input to get to Comcast. Looking forward to our next visit to Winter Park. Our family stayed in Base Village Loft 102 for 9 nights for spring break in late March. The loft was well appointed and had all the space we needed for our young family of 5. It is close to all of the base amenities. During our stay, it snowed each night (which was great), however, the location of the master bedroom is such that we would be awakened by the sound of the snow plow very early on the snowy mornings, but this seemed a relatively small price to pay for fresh powder and proximity to the base and ski school. We have stayed in various village lofts over the years and all have been equally accommodating, a testament to the great job of WPLCo. The only comment to make on all of the lofts is on the size of the garage. While it is a great amenity to have a garage so close to each unit, they are very tight. So, just beware the size of your vehicle..., we were given a mid-size 4 door car for this trip (mix-up at the car rental company - another story), and even it was tight.

The location is excellent, short walk to everything in the village and the Gondola. Perfect for a large family or 2 families. Our kids loved the bunkroom. Having the 3rd bathroom on the main level is nice. Only downsides are there is only parking for 1 car and the memory foam mattress in the master seemed to gradually sink throughout the night. Would definitely stay here again!

The Loft was very nice. Layout was excellent for a family of 9 including 3 under 7. The bedrooms being in the lower level & main living space on top level was great! However the noise levels at night from Loft 105 until 2 AM every night partying made it impossible to sleep which greatly affected all of us. College students ranging from 15-20 in number occupied that Loft which had its main level on the same level as all our bedrooms! We will not rent Loft 102 again due to this issue.

MANAGER COMMENT: I'm so sorry to hear about the noise. Always give us a call if you have this issue in the future. We are more than happy to step in and take care of the rowdy neighbors.

We had a wonderful stay in this unit. We had three families and we each had our space. It was furnished well. My husband and I stayed in the bunk bed room and were very comfortable. The second bedroom adjoining bathroom was shared with the bunk bed room. I used the upstairs full bathroom. The location is perfect!! We have been going to Winter Park for over 30 years and this was by far the most convenient stay yet. The garage is an added bonus. We had a 2nd vehicle and used the pay garage. It was easily accessible. The 3 families just split the cost. Definitely recommend this unit and this management company. Excellent service each time I called.

This is a very, very nice unit. Location is awesome. Amenities were very good. Only complaint is the mattresses in the bunk room were very poor; especially for such a nice unit. Several people staying with us who were going to sleep in the bunk room, chose to sleep on the couch or floor. The other rooms and mattresses were great. Overall, our visit was great....upgrade these mattresses and it would be top notch. Looking forward to staying in the lofts next year.

We had never visited Winter Park in the summer but were blown away! Loved this condo, its amenities, location, free parking (so close for unloading!) and the garage space for the bikes was awesome!

This was a great condo in a great location and a great view of the Base Village. The master bath was so spacious, I wish we had it in our home. We had a great family gathering in Winter Park. Personnel from Winter Park Lodging Company called me by phone both before our stay and after our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

We vacation with another family and this was an incredible location with the Village downstairs. The loft was fantastic, spacious and even had a washer/dryer. The balcony view was amazing.

This was our 3rd year staying in the Base Village Lofts. We love the convenience, walk down the stairs and you are at the Zephyr. Apres-ski ,we will be found at Goodies for ice cream for the grand kids and a beer for the grown- ups. This location makes it easy to get the little ones to ski school . The unit is large enough for 2 couples and 4 children. The kitchen is well- equipped for most meals. We rarely dine out and have family breakfasts and dinners. There are TV’s. They could use some updating as there are way too many remotes! All in all, I feel that Base Loft 102 is a good value.

As discussed on the phone after our stay, we were disappointed that there was no large pot to make soup/chili in. The largest pot was a small sauce pan. Hardly adequate to feed a family of 9. Also, there were no hangers in any of the closets. None of the bathroom doors or bedrooms had locks on them. (Strange, especially with a Jack and Jill style bathroom) The loft was much smaller than we had anticipated from the photos. It was very convenient being at the village, and we were surprised at how quiet the loft was even with it being above restaurants. The wires from the tv, cable box, sound system, etc are a mess on the wall!! They drove the OCD people in our group nuts!!

MANAGER COMMENTS:  So sorry about all that Lisa.  We did get a large soup/stock pot into the property along with a bunch of hangers.  We are currently addressing the locks in the loft.  That is a bit strange not being able to lock bathroom doors.  We are also getting all the TV/sound system hardware tidied up.  Sorry for the inconveniences and please always do call us anytime we can bring an essential item by to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Winter Park! The loft was spacious, beautifully decorated and contained everything that we could want or need during our vacation. We enjoyed the skiing, tubing, restaurants and shops. All were very convenient to the Loft 102 location. The garage was a bonus feature and was perfect for storing the skis and poles each evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We had a wonderful time while staying at the Base Village. It is a great location for experiencing lots of activities and restaurants in close proximity and the accommodations were great for our group. I look forward to our family gathering there again next year.

Wonderful stay in a very comfortable condo. Close to everything in the village. Bedrooms were comfortable and ample storage for clothing etc. Loved the games and puzzles that were in the condo. Five star.

What a great property. We have stayed in two different Parry Peak lofts and one of the Zephyr Condos, and this has been the best so far. We loved the layout and the amenities were fabulous. I think the only things we would like to have changed are: - the temperature distribution between the rooms. The heating distribution feels unbalanced between the rooms, with the rear twin bunk room being very cold while the other bedrooms are very warm requiring the windows to be opened. There appeared no way to adjust the downstairs air distribution; and also the filters seemed to require changing according to the AC/heating unit. - there is only a lock on one of the restroom doors; and while we realized there are a number of "do not disturbed" hangers - this does not work well with 4 kids and different adults. Please consider adding door locks!!

Plan to rent this loft again. Only suggestion-a small bedside table next to master bed would be great!

Just finished up our stay in Winter Park. We came out for the biking and this location was great. Easy access to the lifts and the property was clean and well kept. The management company was very attentive and even gave us a call to check in when we arrived.

We just loved the Base Village Loft 102 property. The location couldn't be better and it's so great to just walk down to Goodies (terrific bakery spot). Our kids loved the bunk room too. We did think that there could have been more glasses in the property when full with 12 people. We will return. Thanks!
