Summer is arriving ahead of schedule in the Fraser Valley, and it’s bringing a free, live concert with it. On Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 4:30 to 8:00 pm, the community is invited to celebrate “Summer Starts Sooner in Winter Park”. A high-energy Memorial Day Weekend event anchored by a free outdoor concert featuring Mat Kearney, with supporting act Rob Drabkin. This is a free event!

Hosted at the Rendezvous Event Center in Downtown Winter Park, and extending throughout town, the celebration blends live music, family-friendly activities, and local business specials into one vibrant, walkable experience. Whether you're a local or visiting from the Front Range, this is your invitation to kick off summer.

Local's Tip: Come get an early season mountain bike ride in at Trestle Bike Park! With an anticipated opening date of May 23rd, Winter Park is the place to be over Memorial Day Weekend!

High-Note Thursdays is a free summer concert series on Thursdays in the Rendezvous Event Center. The community can enjoy a mix of musical styles performed on our state-of-the-art stage. Bring your picnic, favorite beverages, and a smile, we provide the chairs and live music (please leave your pets at home). Stay tuned for the High-Note Thursday schedule for the season. Start your 4th of July celebration right and join in on the fun with the Rendezvous Run for Independence 5k Run/Walk. The 5K run/walk starts at the Gondola Plaza at Winter Park Resort and competitors will wind their way down the beautiful Fraser River Trail, through green forests and open valleys, through the Town of Winter Park, and, finishing at the Rendezvous Event Center. The Rendezvous after party will include refreshments, awards, and prize giveaways at Rendezvous Event Center.

Celebrate the 4th with a rousing, free concert and light show at the Rendezvous Event Center. Pack the kids, pack a picnic, and pick your spot to enjoy the evening — you can play cornhole, throw a bocce ball, or jump in the complimentary photo booth. There will be games for all ages to enjoy before the concert. Jam out to DJ Jen G during the light show which will begin after the live band has concluded.
