The resort also states plainly that Ski School is not childcare. Lessons are instruction for enrolled participants and are not designed to function as daycare.
If you have a child under 4, or a child who is not ready for a full day on snow, plan your childcare before you book your lift tickets. The good news is that the valley has solid independent options, and they are covered below.
Where Can You Find a Babysitter in Winter Park?
Two agencies serve the Fraser Valley with sitters who travel to your vacation rental or home.
Winter Park Babysitting Company
Winter Park Babysitting Company is the sister operation of Steamboat Babysitting Company and has been serving Grand County for years. For kids age 4 and up, yes, with one caveat. A full-day group lesson gives you a real day on the mountain while your child learns, and lunch is included in full-day kids' programs. But the resort is clear that lessons are instruction, not supervision-for-hire, and your child needs to be able to participate.
Winter Park Resort's lesson programs cover group and private ski and snowboard instruction for kids. A few things to sort out ahead of time:
- Lift access and equipment rentals are not included with a lesson. Book those separately.
