Zephyr Mountain Lodge 1215

In a normal snowy year this place would have been perfect to be at. We still really enjoyed staying so close to the slopes. The unit was well stocked with everything we needed.

Our condo was ski in ski out. It is as close to the lift as you can get. The unit was clean and well stocked. What is just as imressive was the management company. They were so great with follow up. Our host was extremely welcoming, checking in on us daily, allowed us both early and late check in/out. The unit was very clean, very nice amenities and extremely comfortable. The location of our unit was superb. A true ski in/ski out. Just walk out the back door to the porch, put on your skis and go. Being older I was able to sit inside the confront of the den to watch my grandkids put on skis for the first time and practice how to ski right outside the window. Everything was perfect.

This place truly delivered on ski-in/ski-out — being able to step right onto the slopes from the balcony was unbeatable. The location was even better than expected and made the whole trip incredibly convenient and enjoyable. While the quarters were a bit tight, the space was well-used and served its purpose perfectly. We spent most of our time skiing anyway! I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a prime slope-side location.

Overall, this place was great! It was confusing as first since the host, Winter Park Lodging Company, wanted me to fill out their online rental form and communicate through my personal cell phone rather than through the Airbnb software after having confirmed the booking on Airbnb. However, they answered my questions about this through the Airbnb message platform and confirmed these additional requests were not a scam. The place was a wonderful location, clean, exactly like the pictures, and wonderfully equipped.

This place is perfect for all seasons! I’ve stayed here multiple times for mountain biking in the summer & snowboarding in the winter.
The unit is cozy and the king bed is so comfortable after a long day of riding.
The location to the gondola is amazing- just walk a few steps to your patio!

Excellent stay! This is a perfect getaway spot for winter or summer. The place was exactly as the pictures showed, very clean, well stocked and smelled great. The access to the gondola was fabulous, truly a ski-in ski-out place. Great location within the building, quick access to the hot tub, ski lockers, lobby and still felt private. The host was very responsive and I appreciated them checking in to make sure we were settled in. Loved it and we will be returning! Thanks for a wonderful stay. ☺️

The location of this condo was ideal. It had direct access to the Gondola outside the back patio and it seemed to be one of the few locations where you could get to the gondola so easily. This made it super easy to get on the slopes with the kids.

Great little condo. Ski right down to gondola. Gotta ski blue to get back though. Condo was well equipped and made for a great quick getaway. Communication was excellent. Parking in garage is extra $.

The convenience of this unit 1215 is the best part about it. Next to the locker and out the door to the hot tub. The king bed is nice and comfortable. I prefer a tub but this unit has a walk in shower which is fairly new. Bring your own supplies. This was the first unit we have stayed in where only one mini shampoo and lotion.

This place is the only unit directly next to the gondala that you can ski directly into the patio. It is small, we moved the coffee table and dining table to the side. Only 4 people can be in there comfortably. There’s no bathroom fan. Minimal space to store luggage. However, you’re paying for the unbeatable location. Bed was comfy. There was a cute goodie bag with snacks on the counter when we arrived. Bring your own coffee grounds if you want coffee for a second day (only enough for one pot).

Awesome location with true ski in and out. Double curtains kept it quiet and dark even with the overnight grooming trucks just outside our window! Great accommodations for family and fold out mattress was surprisingly comfortable (not your usual saggy springy kind).

My family and I stayed at this Airbnb listing for our annual Winter Park ski trip. The location of the listing couldn't physically get any closer to the ski lift. If you're looking for a true ski-in and ski-out rental, this is it! You can ski out the back door and be directly on the Gondola lift. The place is very well-kept and was spotless upon arrival. The host was always responsive and helpful throughout the stay.

We had not been to Winter Park before and I booked this room last minute. I received a call to confirm the reservation and everything was set. instructions to get the room card and where to park were correct. Room location is better than described. The room was the only room with ground level access to the gondola. We parked our bikes (July trip) and could just ride 1 minute to the gondola to ride down the trails. We had three people tell us what a sweet room! There are 2 hottubs just outside the room to the left! The sofa folds out for anyone that does not fit on the king bed.
The only thing I read that was not available to non-owners was the bike cage in the garage. The signs said the bike cage was no longer available to non-owners.
I hope we can get this room again when we go back!

Great convenient location, close to restaurants and gondola lift. Laundry is paid in quarters, $1.50 for washer and $1.50 for dryer. Parking is free with room key. Room came with some snacks, which was a nice touch too. Thanks for a great stay.

The staff that assisted with reservations were great to answer questions, help with external services and exceeded expectations. The room was as described and met our needs to be so close to the ski lift. The cleanliness of the room was not so great as there were multiple issues, such as wrappers, popcorn, and candy on the floor, hair in the shower drain, and if didn't appear that the bathroom sink had been cleaned. The staff at the front desk and of the facility were quick to let us know that they were not affiliated with my booking agency and ignored other guest requests. My son and I had to deliver a large package to an elderly couple because their staff would not complete the task after 2 days. Overall, we would book again and with your company. Thank you for your customer service!

We stayed in Zephyr Slopeside lodge, unit 1215, in February 2022. The folks at Winter Park Lodging Co. were super accessible as needed and were very helpful before, during and after our stay. The condo was in great condition and very clean upon arrival. The bathroom is updated, furniture was comfy and the gas fireplace made it easy to enjoy cozy mornings and evenings. It was the perfect size for 2 adults (it technically sleeps 4, but it would be tight with 4 adults; 2 adults and 2 kids could definitely work though). The best part about this unit is that despite its being located inside a condo building, this unit is truly ski-in/ski-out - it might even be the only true ski-in/ski-out unit in the whole Zephyr lodge complex. We literally walked out our patio door every morning and right onto the tail end of the Corridor trail coming from the Mary Jane base area and skied ourselves a very short distance to the Gondola. Accessing the unit at the end of a day on the slopes was very convenient from the Mary Jane base - take Mary Jane to Corridor and literally ski right up to your patio! As a heads up, you can also make the short walk from the Gondola to your patio door if you take the Gondola down at the end of the day, otherwise it is a bit of a walk in/with all your gear across the Winter Park base area to get home after a long day. RFID access cards made it super easy to access the unit from both the interior corridor of the lodge and the back patio after a glorious day on the slopes. We LOVED our week in Winter Park, largely in part due to the loveliness and ski-in/ski-out factor of this unit. Highly recommend WPLC, this unit, and would absolutely stay in this unit again!

Accessing the unit at the end of a day on the slopes was very convenient from the Mary Jane base - take Mary Jane to Corridor and literally ski right up to your patio! As a heads up, you can also make the short walk from the Gondola to your patio door if you take the Gondola down at the end of the day, otherwise it is a bit of a walk in/with all your gear across the Winter Park base area to get home after a long day. RFID access cards made it super easy to access the unit from both the interior corridor of the lodge and the back patio after a glorious day on the slopes. We LOVED our week in Winter Park, largely in part due to the loveliness and ski-in/ski-out factor of this unit. Highly recommend WPLC, this unit, and would absolutely stay in this unit again!

We stayed here this past weekend dec 2nd-5th. Literally such an amazing location-ski in ski out right by the gondola and main resort area. Right by the hot tubs. Small unit for 4 people, but we knew that going in. Adequate accommodations and very convenient location next to slope and hot tub. Only issue - no TV remote which made changing volume and channels annoying. Parking was a chore as well. Had to have room key and QR code to access. Unit itself was tidy and comfortable. Enjoyable stay.

This was our first family vacation with our 1 year old. We told the owners and they had a sweet gift ready for him (a stuffed animal), which we really appreciated the thoughtfulness! The place was nice and the location was great. It was even close enough to the hot tub that we could put our 1 year old down for bed, go out the hot tub, and the monitor reached. One hour into being at Winter Park, we already decided we would be back!

Until this year, I would have given Zephyr Mountain Lodge an 'excellent' rating. It's still our favourite place to stay - we've stayed there 14 times now. However, they have made some changes which did affect the quality of our stay. Most notably, the lack of shuttle bus to take us in to Winter Park town. This was a wonderful, flexible service which enhanced the enjoyment of our holiday. The lack of this service meant that we had to wait in extremely cold conditions (-23 degrees centigrade) with no idea of when the bus was going to arrive. Before, we could phone from our restaurant and wait there until the shuttle arrived. This meant that we only visited the town once during our stay - and the choice of restaurants around Zephyr Mountain Lodge is somewhat limited! A great shame. Please bring the shuttle back as soon as possible!

Manager Comment: Thanks for your feedback. We were also sorry to see the Zephyr shuttle go. We will pass along your wish to reinstate it to the HOA. Until then, you can see the town shuttles in real time on the LiftRider app, so you know when to head out to catch it.

You can't get any better than this condo for location. My son and his friend were in heaven - open the door to the back porch, put skis on and in a few seconds they were at the lift. They would ski in for lunch and rest breaks, it's perfect. My husband and I had plenty of choices of eateries and bars within walking distance. It's very clean and the property management staff are professional and courteous.

The ski in/ski out location is excellent. The condo has everything needed. The Queen blow up mattress is easy to inflate/deflate so it could be stored away for the day. Ski rental just a floor under. Overall a great stay.

Room was clean and bed pretty comfortable compared to some I've slept on. It was truly a ski in ski out property which was awesome. The room was pretty small for four people and barely enough room to put up blow up mattress, but we made it work.

Room 1215 literally is ski-in ski-out. It appears to be the only ground level unit that faces the Winter Park ski village. As you depart from your ground floor patio, you are on the Zephyr lift in less than 300yds. For mountain biking Trestle Bike Park this summer, we did the short pedal to the room, used key access to enter from outside, and had water and snacks. Although the unit is small, it is well furnished and comfortable. I will request this same room for future visits! Only need for the elevator is unloading and loading the vehicle from the ample sized, underground garage. Stair access to the garage is a simple 2 flights of stairs.

Review Title Awesome ski in/ski out Your Comments To say anything negative about this unit would be whining. You're literally AT the town center. We skied into our room after a long day of fantastic powder. The master bed was actually comfortable and the pillows were actually fluffy! The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking breakfast. The only negative was that we wanted to crack a window because the unit was too hot, but the windows in the master were nailed shut. This unit is ground floor, so I completely understand. If you enjoy warm rooms and walking about five steps to cold snow, this unit is perfect for you! Thanks for the help with road closures and thanks for the great stay!

We loved our stay at Winterpark in the village area. The condo was very nice as well other than the problems with keeping the air mattress inflated. My suggestion is to ask the owners of the condo to buy a nice sleeper-sofa instead. It was otherwise very nice and an amazing trip.

Manager Comment: Thanks for the suggestion about the sleeper sofa. We have updated our air mattresses to the top of the line self-inflating EZ Aerobeds. Hopefully that does the trick!

The location was perfect for what we wanted. We were steps away from the bike shop and lift. It was really cool to be able to talk to the guys as they were on the ski lift. It was quick and easy access if we wanted anything in the resort. We had a lot of stuff we brought in and our kids are adults also so it was a little tight but we cooked every meal and enjoyed our stay. The convenience of the location of the condo was the best. I hope to stay in the same condo in the future just because of convenience.

As pretty much our first time skiing, we could not have asked for a better experience. the condo was very nice and everyone was on top of our needs. we were contacted upon our arrival and departure to see how how everything is/was. our contacts were professional and friendly. we will definitely be back!

First time staying ski in ski out and best decision ever. We had only two people in this condo, but a few other rooms booked for our party. Ours was “home base” and it was so convenient to pop in for lunch and to warm our toes for a few minutes. All of the rooms at the Zephyr are convenient to everything, but this one takes the cake!
