Eagle Wind Lodge

We had a great time at Eagle Wind Lodge. We especially enjoyed the great room -- it's large, with comfortable couches, and a long table that could fit our entire family. We played board games at the table every evening. The gas fireplace is really nice as well. Our children played ping pong and pool downstairs, and they also used the hot tub every day. The lodge sits in a quiet neighborhood -- there was little traffic. We also walked to a nearby hiking trail. The windows in the lodge are wonderful -- we would look at the mountains in the distance every morning. It is a short drive to Winter Park Resort. We would definitely stay at Eagle Wind again!

The Winter Park Lodging Company is the ultimate host when it comes to dealing with customers. We just completed a family reunion at the Eagle Wind Lodge. The staff of the Winter Park Lodging Company were great during the reservation process, when we arrived, during our stay, and after we left. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was pleasant. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and super clean. We really felt at home in this great home which provided a superb experience for our family members who came from various states. We will definitely come back for more reservations with this company in the Winter Park area and we probably want to try some of their rentals in the Steam Boat area. The definitely earned our five stars rating.

This property was absolutely beautiful and made for such a fun weekend with friends in the mountains. The location couldn’t have been better, the house was spotless, and the property management team was proactive, responsive, and easy to work with.
We joked throughout the trip that this place must cost double (or even triple) in the winter—it makes sense, but if we had paid more than $2,500 it might have been harder to justify. That said, for what we paid, it was an incredible value.
I can’t recommend this property enough—I had the best weekend here!

We had a family reunion with young kids and all stayed very comfortably in this home! The location was absolutely gorgeous, we had coffee on the balcony and watched the amazing view of the stars at night. We spent a good amount of our time hiking and exploring the area and felt right at home at the end of the day. We ended up not cooking much, but I wish we had a chance to use the beautiful and well-stocked kitchen more!

We have stayed in many vacation rentals and Winter Park Lodging is by far the best we have found. The customer service is 5 Star. Meghan and Jill were quick to answer all of my questions and checked in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Eagle Wind was amazing. The views of the mountains will be something I always remember. The lodge is huge our group ages 5-60 enjoyed each other and time to ourselves and never felt crowded. Two dishwashers is a game changer. The location is close to so many activities. I highly recommend using the Winter Park Lodging discount to book a Grand Adventure Snowmobile tour. The views from the continental divide are not to be missed.

We stayed at this property just to get away and have some family downtime. The house was clean, well-equipped, and full of fun things to do. We played a few games of pool and pingpong, soaked in the hot tub, watched movies, played games. The host was excellent at communication, very responsive and helpful. The Only thing that we were disappointed with was the outdoor space. We would have liked to enjoy the different decks, but there was no furniture on them for us to sit on. Also. with the decks being made of metal, (most likely due to the snow that accumulates for a good portion of the year), it was uncomfortable to stand out there without shoes on. We didn't wear shoes inside the house and it would have meant going to the effort of putting on and taking off shoes to be on the decks. It was a minor inconvenience, except that we really enjoy the outdoors and the views were amazing and would have been even more enjoyable from outside on the decks.

There is a pickle ball court and park very close by and the house was just a few miles from shopping and hiking. Our favorite thing to do was riding up the gondola and hiking the amazing trail at the top. Would stay again! House was very clean !

We loved the many windows to take in the views, the spacious and well-appointed kitchen and the pool and ping pong, as well as the hot tub. The living areas were plenty big for our eight adults and 7 children under eight. The home was very clean and we appreciated that the owners personal items were out of view — or possibly not there at all. We have never stayed in such a palatial home before. It was a special treat for us, our children and our grandkids. We did have occasion to call the property manager with questions and found them to be very responsive and helpful.

Pretty sure mere words can’t describe our experience with Winter Park Lodging and Eagle Wind Lodge! Family of 15, 3 generations, 4 couples, 7 grandkids… plenty of room for all. So clean- the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. and 2 dishwashers! The ladies were in love! Check in and check out was so easy! Everyone is already asking for our next trip to Winter Park!

Beautiful, spacious place for our ski trip! 14 adults fit well without feeling crowded. The common areas mixed with the kitchen is perfect. You can't beat the views, sunrises and sunsets. We were in town for a baseball tournament and found this house to rent. It was in a great location for where we needed it to be. The company that manages the house was very responsive to whatever we needed. It was fully stocked for our cooking and sleeping needs. Would definitely rent again.

Had an amazing time staying at Winter Park Lodging. The place look even better in person. Easy to get in easy to find. The neighborhood was quit and peaceful. And an amazing view. And all my teenagers like it. And if you have a toddler they provide you with toys too. I was also very thankful for helping my family and I, when I accidentally forgot to add an extra day to my stay. They were so helpful and so kind. We did our first family vacation since the pandemic and the house was beautiful! The location was perfect and easy to commute to activities on the resort. The only downside was when bathing the water would not get hot. Besides that it was great! Easy check in and out it came with a fully loaded kitchen of utensils and cookware.

This place was great!!! The accommodations were spectacular. The family had a great time and we have an amazing space to share with extended family over Thanksgiving. The house was well stocked, more than entry-level stocking on supplies such as dish soap, dishwasher fluid, toiletries, paper towels, towels, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with enough plates and silverware for my entire family. The kitchen had two dishwashers which was GREAT when all of us were eating at the same time and helped with cleaning up after meals. The house also has two sets of washers and dryers which was useful when doing a load of bath, hot tub, and kitchen towels throughout our stay. The linens were all great as well. We will plan to stay again another time and another holiday if the same place is available. I appreciated the text messages and proactive communications to help with check-in and the reminders of what to do when checking out.

This is a place for you if you are a large party and looking for a place where memories can be made. The Kitchen is very functional and great for large family or friend gatherings (i.e. 2 dishwashers, 2 trash cans, large island for food preparation and eating area). The adjoining dining room has a large table that can seat 12+ people. Each bedroom has adjacent access to a bathroom (e.g. we had 4 couples and each had access to their own bathroom). The game room was also great, providing ping pong, pool table and very large TV viewing area. I also liked the location, which is 1/4 block to a hiking, biking path. Restaurants are about 5-8 minutes away).
Clearly for my family this is a do-again property!

My group of 10 had a wonderful time at this Winter Park house! We enjoyed going on hikes and seeing the yellow aspens. The kitchen is nicely stocked with plenty of cookware and the grill is perfect for a large group. The internet is also quite fast - it supported multiple streaming devices as well as some video games simultaneously. We would definitely come back again!

We had two families of 8 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant. There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy some privacy and lots of large spaces to enjoy the company. We especially loved the Dining Room, Kitchen and Great Room. My only minor suggestion would be to maybe pour a small bit of concrete by the hot tub entry, the stairs were a bit wobbly and the rocks a bit uncomfortable on bare feet, but we still enjoyed the tub immensely!! There was plenty of activities to choose from in the area this time of year. Our group did some local shopping, hiking and the ATV Guided Tour and enjoyed all of them. Thanks for the beautiful stay. Colorado never disappoints!!

We had 9 adults, a toddler and an infant. There was plenty of space for everyone to have privacy and lots of things to do together. We loved the kitchen, dining room and great room. I would highly recommend this property. My only suggestion would be to maybe have a little more convenient, safe and comfortable entry to the hot tub, just a small concrete slab with steps more secure, but we still enjoyed the hot tub immensely as well as being located very close to plenty of activities. Our group enjoyed some local shopping, hiking and an ATV guided tour. All were fun! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

This home is tremendous with loads of room for all! We had 14 of us in here and it was often times we didn't run into each other for a large chunk of the time. Great views of the mountains and a peaceful location. And SNOW.....in April! It was a terrific time and we all enjoyed it. Hope to all come back and do it again.

Wonderful house! The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped in terms of pots+pans for an Airbnb, and of course the whole house was clean and spacious and exactly as advertised. Location is great, and the house is very easy to get to.
There is no garage door remote which is a little annoying because you have to send someone through the front door every time, but otherwise the house was perfect. The hosts are very receptive to feedback, though, and very nice so I'm optimistic that this one issue will be fixed soon.

This house is great for a large group. It has plenty of space and beds so people can spread out. The kitchen was well-equipped and had a large dining room table, 2 dishwashers and 2 garbage cans, which turned out to be a godsend for a large family eating many meals in. The hot tub, ping pong table and pool table gave us plenty of entertainment options during down time. Additionally, I can't say enough about the management company for this house. They were extremely responsive and helpful during our stay. They checked in several times and were diligent in fixing a few maintenance issues that came up. I was very impressed with the service they provided. If renting, one should be aware of a few small intricacies of the house. The bunk room does not have a door separating it from the game room. Also, the deck is made of slotted metal and is not particularly enjoyable to spend time on...such a shame considering the beautiful view. Finally, while this looks to be in very close proximity to main street on the map, it is on a large hill with winding streets, so we typically drove down to restaurants. This made for a quieter neighborhood feel, which was nice in many ways, just less accessible for biking/walking places.

Great House with close proximity to Winter Park DT and Resort. Our family group had (12) adults and we felt there was ample space at this house. We came across one minor issue with the hot tub, but it was corrected quickly once we notified management. We enjoyed using both the ping pong and pool table in the evenings. The two car garage is MASSIVE and having two refrigerators and two dishwashers was a huge bonus for our large group. Beds/Pillows were also very comfortable. Lastly, we had a few beautiful sunrises in the early mornings that were breathtaking. Great place for a large group

This place was great to stay at for our ski trip to winter park/ Mary Jane. It was conveniently located about 50 feet from a bus stop, which made getting to and from the mountain easy and gave our group flexibility (bus ride is about 20-30 mins). It was very accommodating for our large group and the amenities such as the pack and play, pool table, large garage (fit two full size SUV’s), and two dishwashers were helpful. The management company was easy to work with as well, and we communicated via text.

Last week was our second Winter Park vacation at Eagle Wind. It is a large property with beautiful views. We noticed when we first arrived that it wasn't as clean as last year, but we just thought maybe it was a quick turnaround from other renters. That is the only reason I did not give it an excellent rating. We called about light bulb out and the door off the track in kids downstairs bedroom. The office sent very nice ladies (Nancy and Amy) who came to vacuum and replace the bulb. They also cleaned the sticky bannister on stairs. We hope to rent Eagle Wind again next year. The location is perfect for all the activities our family enjoys. It is perfect for large groups with that fantastic kitchen, TVs, pool table and ping pong table as well as the hot tub! With the two laundry rooms, we were able to keep up with dirty/wet clothes from all our winter fun.

The check in process was extremely easy as it uses a key less code. The hosts made sure we were all set with great communication leading up to our trip and during. We even requested a late check out in which they accommodated.
Beautiful house! Everything was clean when we got there. Having a pool table, a ping pong table, and hot tub is a huge plus so people stayed busy. The kitchen though, is just awesome. Well stocked and huge with lots of counter space. There are sound systems built in to every room. The garage is definitely large enough to fit 3 regular size cars with plenty of space. We had two large SUVs in there and still a ton of room.
I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Our stay was simply amazing! Not just because the houses were fantastic, but because of the superior customer service from everyone at Winter Park Lodging Company! We had an issue with one of the key pads, and I called the office; and was walked through the process from someone at WPLC. I then received a follow up call about an hour later, making sure everything was going ok. But what really amazed me was when I left my computer at one of the homes, after we checked out. We were half way back to Denver when I realized it. I was about to call WPLC, when I received a call from Jenna, saying the inspector found the computer, and what would you like us to do, to get it back to you. I opted to have WPLC Fedex it to me. I then had fantastic communication with both Jenna and Jill, on the progress of getting my computer back. Truly exceptional customer service by everyone; but especially Jill and Jenna! Thanks so much for making our stay, truly fantastic!

This was our first time using HomeAway, or any other house rental site. We couldn't be more pleased. Right from the start, they were very helpful. The information about the house and check-in process was most complete. The property was better than we ever could have imagined. A common remark during our stay was how clean the house was. We were called by Winter Park Lodging Co. very shortly after our arrival, just to say Welcome, and to ask if we had any questions. We lost WiFi on the second day, and they sent out a technician immediately, who fixed the problem. Prior to our departure, we received another call, asking about our experience. The size and layout of the house fit perfectly with our family composition, and our reunion was greatly enhanced. Thank you, Winter Park Lodging Co!

We had a wonderful week of skiing in winter park! We had 14 of us in our house that was very nice. Winter park Lodging was very accommodating and we had so much fun! We will be returning next year!

This kitchen was to die for! We didn't want to leave it was so dreamy. We loved bundling up and drinking coffee on the large deck too. This was a nice location as a go between for skiing and hanging out. Not too far from the Resort, but far enough to not feel like you are right in the middle of all the hubbub at the Resort. The bedding situation was so spacious too, so we didn't’t feel cramped at all.

This house was great! Plenty of space to hang out. Our only draw back was that the bunk room didn’t have a door. We were all couples on the trip so it didn’t provide much privacy for them.

MANAGER COMMENTS:  We are pleased you enjoyed your stay overall.  The owner's designed the room that way to keep a quicker/easier eye on their kids. So sorry it wasn't an ideal fit for your group.  Do give us a call and we can surely find just the right spot for everyone!

Property was excellent for our group. Technical difficulties with the cable TV were not repaired - we had no access to tv programming in the unit for our entire stay which was very disappointing . We were able to view our personal Netflix programming on two of the TV's but had to reconnect it several times & also this slowed wi-go throughout the unit. The property manager offered a discount as compensation that was acceptable to us. Overall property managers were attentive to our needs & offered an alternate unit for viewing the game, & very friendly. Property was awesome, pictures do not do it justice.

Huge home with plenty of room. Served our group of 4 families - 8 Adults & 9 kids - extremely well. Spacious enough to allow a loarge group to be spread out. Nice hot tub & pool table.

Just steps from the ski bus. Easily slept 13 and three families. Newly remodeled throughout. Fabulous kitchen. No ping pong but otherwise exactly as described. Would stay here again.

Would definitely book again when in Winter Park. Had one tiny issue with the door, and the management team sent someone right away, and it was after hours. The management team called me multiple times before and during the trip to make sure everything was ok. Excellent customer service.

I was particularly impressed with the company's service and attentiveness. Multiple phone calls and emails before, during, and after the stay to make sure everything was okay. When the place ran out of hot water, they sent maintenance, who was extremely friendly even though there was nothing he could do and had to come out the Saturday evening of 4th of July weekend (too many showers - we just needed to wait). The place was perfect for our family vacation. Manager's Comments...So glad we were able to help! Loved hearing about your great experience over the holiday weekend. Come back and visit again soon!

First I want to say the house was wonderful! It was even more spacious than it appeared on the website and was perfect for our group. But, I do have a couple of criticisms that might be helpful for you in the future. 1) I had asked for an early check-in and was given the impression this would not be a problem. On arrival day no one seems to be aware of this. And when we finally arrived at the house at 4:00 which is the listed check-in, housekeeping was still at the house cleaning. I understand turn around days must be crazy for you guys, but would have preferred that we were not given the expectation of getting in early, than what happened. 2) We were unclear about operating the heat in the house. Thermostats were all set on lowest setting , but house was comfortable when we checked in. SO we weren't sure if the scattered thermostats even worked the system and did not adjust them. Next morning we woke up and house was 59degrees inside. WE then did adjust all thermostats to about 67 and eventually it became comfortable. A little heads up on this would have been helpful. 3) We could not get main TV in great room to work, nor could the fellow who came by our first night. Turned out cabinet door with Direct TV box needed to be open in order to work. A little note about this would have been helpful. 4) Not a problem for us, but owners needs to know freezer door is difficult to stay all the way shut. I hope these comments are helpful. Again, we loved the house and had a wonderful vacation. Location, amenities and comfort were A plus. Just thought this feedback should be helpful Happy New Year Kenny Gardner Manager comments: The check in difficulty you experienced was definitely a misalignment of some bad stars! We strive to have properties ready by 4pm to give ourselves a bit of a window and ensure all will be perfect for arrival time. While we never can promise an early check in (for the unfortunate reason you experienced) to guests we do try to be prepared for them and in the case that a property is ready early we do reach out to guests and let them know. Our apologies that you were given a false impression of early check in for your stay. The heating and TV snafu is something we will address and provide some better written instructions in the property and on the app as well. Thank you also for bringing the freezer door to our attention. We will make adjustments on that or perhaps replace the door entirely. We are so glad that your overall experience was very positive and again thank you for your cooperation and patience during a very hectic week!

From the moment we booked this home (9 months in advance), Winter Park Lodging Company has been so accommodating. They continuously strived to help us plan a wonderful vacation. As soon as we arrived at the Eagle Wind Lodge, I knew we would absolutely love our stay. The view was breathtaking. The home is filled with windows which allows you to enjoy the mountain views from any room in the house! WPLC was very attentive after we checked in at Eagle Wind Lodge! I would recommend both the lodge and WPLC. Made our Christmas vacation 2015 one to remember!

Eagle Wind Lodge is truly stunning. The views are amazing from the floor to ceiling picture windows and the wrap around balcony. The spacious kitchen was perfect for our large group - everyone always seems to hang out in the kitchen!! The beds and linens were high end. We were greeted by a welcome note and a treat. Very impressed with Winter Park Lodging Company. I will definitely use you again in the future.

I had a family reunion in Winter Park and we had 14 people staying at this house. It still seemed empty. We had several get togethers at the house with 25+ people. It was perfect. The view was so nice, it made everyone in a good mood. I wish I could buy the house.

Great time. Well insulated home that allowed 14 old snoring slightly inebriated guys a good nights rest. Big Home that had huge roomy areas - especially the kitchen. Service was outstanding. You Guys are real good and on top of it! Thanks again, Rod M.

We had a group of 14 and got a great deal on this home in Winter Park. It is enormous, and we had loads of space to find our alone time in. Deck was superb and we ended up using the grill a couple of nights for the sole reason to enjoy the views. Liked having the second living room downstairs too, which worked well for giving the kids (total of 6 between 5-14) their own area to hang out in.

This home was absolutely perfect. The views are spectacular. The kitchen is wonderfully workable. Loved Loved Loved the extra fridge in the garage. Just one suggestion a garage door opener would be fabulous,and an instruction sheet for hot tub. The maintenance staff of Winter Park Lodging Co. was very good about quickly responding to our requests for hot tub help and humidifiers. Just a suggestion there are cobwebs on the large chandelier and in the corners of the doors to go out on deck. We did not care but someone else may. Our stay in this home was above our expectations.

We had a blast with this house. The house has an open layout with a lot of spaces/rooms to spread out, a lot of linens, towels, toilet papers and clean too. It was a great vacation for a big group like us. Some of the bedrooms have big space so we didn't feel too full with many kids in the bedroom. My only suggestion is that the kitchen needs bigger pots and pans for a big group. Other than that, no complain! We had fun, fun and fun! Consider to go back with this house for the next vacation.
