Looking to visit with Santa Claus? Well it just so happens that he’ll be here in Winter Park just before he gets too crazy busy for Christmas. Kids, here’s your chance to give him your Christmas list to be certain he gets it. Mom and dad, you can get some photos to cherish for years to come

December 24th, 2017.  4-6 pm base of Winter Park Resort

It’s true. The Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade is one of the most beloved Winter Park traditions. If you’re lucky enough to be here for the holidays, join us for Christmas carols around the bonfire, then watch a procession of torch-bearing skiers and riders begin their way down the trail followed by Santa Claus himself. A spectacular fireworks display while the Christmas lighted snowcats… ah, we won’t give it away.   A Christmas Eve interdenominational service will take place in the West Portal immediately following the parade.


Ranch House Restaurant

December 25th, 2017.  Ranch House Restaurant, Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Tabernash

This year get out of the kitchen and let the chefs at Ranch House Restaurant do the holiday feast cooking. Besides a wonderful four course meal, you’ll get to relax and enjoy the festivities.   Now, that’s a Merry Christmas! A la carte dining options will also be available. Reservations are recommended.

$72 per adult, children under 12 yrs are half price


January 20, 2018.  From 7.30 am at Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Tabernash

The fourth annual 30km/15km classic-only cross country ski race and tour will take place on January 21st starting at Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa, traversing through the former Idlewild Ski Area and finishing with a post-race BBQ and beer garden with live music at Hideaway Park. This event is perfect for the die-hard nordic ski competitors as well as recreational xc ski or snowshoers.

Winter Park Uphill Battle
February 10, 2018.  From 9 AM – 4 PM, Winter Park Resort 

Winter Park’s first uphill (yes, uphill) challenge takes place this February 20th.  Grab your skins and snowshoes and hike and ski your way all over the frontside trails of Winter Park Resort.  This fun race will challenge both stamina and skiing as you zip your way around the blues and greens of Winter Park Territory.

February 10, 2018.  From Noon – 4pm, Winter Park Resort. 

Put on your best beads and colorful head gear and join in the fun at Winter Park Resort this Mardi Gras.  Enjoy a New Orleans style band and family friendly games in the Village at Winter Park – then treat yourself to some food and drink specials at the Base Village restaurants.




February 22-25th, 2018.  All day at Winter Park Resort.

The 43rd annual Wells Fargo Ski cup raises money (and a whole lot of fun) over a weekend of races that support the National Sports Center For The Disabled.  The three key stand out events are The Corporate Challenge, Kids Snowplow Sprint, and World Disabled Invitational where professional athletes from all over the world compete for cash prizes in a spectacular showdown like no other.

Winter Park Wells Fargo Easter egg hunt

April 1, 2018.  From 11 am, Winter Park Resort.   

Winter Park Willie and the Easter Bunny join forces to deliver an on-mountain candy hunt in Discover Park, plus a munchkin sized easter egg hunt around the Base Village for under 5s.  There’s even a non-competitive FUN race down Lower Village Way for any kids who want to take part.

Children must have valid Winter Park lift tickets to access the on-snow candy hunt and Bunny Race.

April 22, 2018.  Noon – 3 pm in Winter Park Resort Village. 

Take part in the end of season celebration that is Winter Park Resort’s Spring Splash!  Complete the obstacles down Larry Sale, then take a deep breath and try to skim your way across the icy pond to the finish line with the best time to win.

Registration: 8 – 10.30 am at Guest Services in Balcony House.  $20 per person (must be over 18 yrs) – limited to the first 100 participants.

9 AM – 10AM every Sunday, June 18th – August 27th, 2017 Hideaway Park or Cooper Creek Square, Downtown Winter Park

Start the day off right with a free outdoor fitness class. Weekly sessions alternate between yoga, pilates, zumba crossfit & boot camp.

High Note Thursdays
6 PM – 8 PM every Thursday, June 29th – August 24th, 2017 Hideaway Park, Downtown Winter Park

Bring a picnic and blanket and head to Hideaway Park for free music and entertainment. Musical acts change each week bringing a mix of Americana, bluegrass, rock, folk and more to the main stage at Hideaway Park.

10 AM – 5.30 PM every day, June 10th – October 1st, 2017

A playground for all ages, Winter Park Resort brings fun and adventure to any summer vacation. Take to two wheels to experience the nationally acclaimed Trestle Bike Park with endless lift assisted downhill biking trails, fly down the hillside on Colorado’s longest Alpine Slide, tire out the kids in the Adventure Park, or take in own of the many festivals and events.

The 14th annual Blues From The Top festival brings a little growl and purr to the main stage at Hideaway Park, as well as intimate after show performances throughout town.

Breathe in the fresh mountain air this Independence Day at the annual Lance Gutersohn 4th of July Celebration in Downtown Winter Park. Head to the park around 6 PM for family friendly activities and live country music by Buckstein, then gather loved ones to watch the sky light up with a huge fireworks display at dark.
