CHRISTMAS EVE TORCHLIGHT PARADE
December 24th, 2016. 4-6 pm base of Winter Park Resort
It’s true. The Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade is one of the most beloved Winter Park traditions. If you’re lucky enough to be here for the holidays, join us for Christmas carols around the bonfire, then watch a procession of torch-bearing skiers and riders begin their way down the trail followed by Santa Claus himself. A spectacular fireworks display while the Christmas lighted snowcats… ah, we won’t give it away. A Christmas Eve interdenominational service will take place in the Balcony House immediately following the parade.

This year get out of the kitchen and let the chefs at Ranch House Restaurant do the holiday feast cooking. Besides a wonderful four course meal, you’ll get to relax and enjoy the festivities. DEVIL’S THUMB RANCH STAGECOACH CLASSIC
January 21st, 2017. From 8am at Devil’s Thumb Ranch, Tabernash
The fourth annual 30km/15km classic-only cross country ski race and tour will take place on January 21st starting at Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa, traversing through the former Idlewild Ski Area and finishing with a post-race BBQ and beer garden with live music at Hideaway Park. This event is perfect for the die-hard nordic ski competitors as well as recreational xc ski or snowshoers.
Mary Jane’s Birthday Bash

CUPID’S REVENGE SNOWSHOE RACE

Test your fitness by taking part in the annual Cupid’s Revenge 4 mile snowshoe race through the picturesque trails of old Idewilde Ski Area in Downtown Winter Park.

2017 WELLS FARGO SKI CUP
February 22-26th, 2017. All day at Winter Park Resort.
The 42nd annual Wells Fargo Ski cup raises money (and a whole lot of fun) over a weekend of races that support the National Sports Center For The Disabled. The three key stand out events are The Corporate Challenge, Kids Snowplow Sprint, and World Disabled Invitational where professional athletes from all over the world compete for cash prizes in a spectacular showdown like no other.

SNOW MOUNTAIN RANCH SKI & FAT BIKE FESTIVAL
March 24 – 26th, 2017. All day at Snow Mountain Ranch, Tabernash.
Nordic gets a new vehicle in this two day festival of snowshoeing, cross country skiing and you guessed it, Fat Biking! Stay posted for more information on this family friendly event at Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA of the Rockies.

GOLDEN BUNNY CLASIC
April 16th, 2017. From 11 am, Winter Park Resort.
Winter Park Willie and the Easter Bunny join forces to deliver an on-mountain candy hunt in Discover Park, plus a munchkin sized easter egg hunt around the Base Village for under 5s. There’s even a non-competitive FUN race down Lower Village Way for any kids who want to take part.
Children must have valid Winter Park lift tickets to access the on-snow candy hunt and Bunny Race.
April 23rd, 2017. Noon – 3 pm in Winter Park Resort Village.
Take part in the end of season celebration that is Winter Park Resort’s Spring Splash! Complete the obstacles down Larry Sale, then take a deep breath and try to skim your way across the icy pond to the finish line with the best time to win.
Registration: 8 – 10.30 am at Guest Services in Balcony House. $20 per person (must be over 18 yrs) – limited to the first 100 participants.
