GRAND LAKE

There are public boat launches, marinas, docks and boat rentals available. A swimming beach can be accessed from the town, just beyond the quaint main street boardwalk.

LAKE GRANBY

This is the second-largest man-made lake in Colorado and is larger than Grand Lake. A popular lake for water-skiing, wakeboarding & fishing, you'll find Lake Granby on Hwy 34 about ten miles before the town of Grand Lake. There are also good picnic spots and public boat launches.

GREEN MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR

To really get off the beaten path for some boating recreation, consider Green Mountain Reservoir.  It's a bit of a drive from Winter Park, about an hour and 15 minutes, but a well-kept secret.  Built in the 1940s primarily to replace water that's diverted to the front range, it's now a fun spot for water sports, sailing, power boats & fishing.

SHADOW MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR

This smaller body of water sits between Lake Granby and Grand Lake and is primarity used for fishing and power boating.

WOLFORD MOUNTAIN RESERVOIR

Located just outside of Kremmling, Wolford Mountain Reservoir is about an hour away from Winter Park.  You'll find a boat launch, picnic areas and trails to explore.  You can rent a pontoon boat, fishing boat, paddle boat or canoe here.  It's another great lake for water sports, including jet skis and water skiing.
