A Fruity Alternative For Your Turkey Side This Thanksgiving

We’ll be the first acknowledge that fresh cranberry sauce is a traditional staple for your lip-smacking table of treats on Thanksgiving; but sometimes all that boiling and thickening of the perfect sauce can be a little time consuming.   Why not try this super quick and easy alternative to add a little fruity flavor to your table, we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how well it pairs with turkey and ham.


2 mangoes, peeled & diced

1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped

1 bunch green onions (scallions), sliced

1 tablespoon finely chopped jalapeno pepper

1/2 cup chopped cilantro

2 tablespoons lime juice

Salt & pepper to taste


Combine mango, peppers, green onions, cilantro and lime juice in a bowl.  Season to taste, then refrigerate for 20 minutes before serving to all all the flavors to melt into the mango.
