SPRING SKIING ESSENTIALS

5 REASONS TO LOVE SPRING SKIING

The best time to ski is always January and February, right? WRONG!  While huge powder days in the middle of the season are amazing, Spring can bring some of the best conditions of the year. What most people don’t know is that March and April can be Colorado’s snowiest months and with all the snow we’ve had, Mary Jane is staying open until May 12th!  All of that soft snow and warmer temps bring a whole different vibe to the mountain. It’s all about having fun, enjoying the last couple months of the season and being outside soaking in that Colorado sunshine. Check out what we love about spring skiing!

Warm Weather

Leave the hand and toe warmers behind, a bluebird Spring day can mean skiing in just a light waterproof jacket and pants. Make sure to pack sunscreen, showing some skin can mean sunburns at 9,000+ https://www.azns.org/strattera-atomoxetine/ feet.

No More Crowds

Lift lines? Not anymore. Instead of first chair, the last chair of the day can be the best.

Patio Apres Ski

Find your favorite patio and reflect on what an amazing skier you are on hero snow. Mary Jane parking lots are notorious for tailgating or head to downtown Winter Park for craft beer and margaritas.

TBT

Every day is throwback Thursday once daylight saving time passes. Find your best 80’s gear or neon. Warmer temps allow for more creativity. Bonus points for vintage Winter Park gear and onesies.

Catch an Event

Spring skiing isn’t complete without witnessing a pond skim. Winter Park Resort spreads their Spring Bash + Spash over four weekends with concerts, a beer fest and a different theme each week.

However you enjoy Spring, what is most important is that you’re out there. In just a few months we will be longing for Winter again!
