Bring the family to the mountains of Winter Park, Colorado, this July 4th, and enjoy a jam packed weekend of free entertainment and events.
Start the celebrations of by joining the Winter Park locals this Independence Day, at Lance Gutersohn’s 4th of July Celebration at the Fraser Ball fields. Sit back and relax as the kids tire themselves out running & playing on the huge grassy fields, bouncing around on giant inflatables and dancing the day away to live music (act TBA). Then, as the night draws close, wrap the little ones up in a blanket and get ready for the ‘oooooohhhhs & aaaaahhhhhs!’ as the sky explodes into color at the annual fireworks display.
Other events happening on July 4th include:
Music On The Mall with Andrew Duhon Head to the Cooper Creek Square courtyard to enjoy free live music between 6 pm – 8 pm. If you’re hungry, but don’t want to miss the show, order a meal from any of the Cooper Creek Square restaurants, and they’ll deliver it right to your table in the courtyard.
Friday Music Series with The Raygunomics Winter Park Resort also gets in on the Independence Day action with a free live show at the Village Gazebo, between 4 pm – 6 pm, by The Raygunomics (rock).
And the weekend of family fun doesn’t need to stop there. Wander through the Village at Winter Park Resort on July 5th to witness the artisan melting pot that is The Village Uncorked! Or put a little wild in your western weekend and get your hands dirty at the High Country Stampede Rodeo.
Round off the weekend, with a trip to Winter Park Resort to watch some of the thrills & spills of the Trestle Gravity Games mountain bike competition, or take the kids to the Lions Club Ponds (next to Safeway), to enjoy the free annual fishing derby from 12 noon.
Whatever your pleasure, Winter Park has something in store for everyone this 4th of July, 2014.
