One of the biggest draws to Winter Park in the summer is the exciting Alpine Slide at Winter Park Resort, the longest in the state of Colorado. For those who aren’t familiar with it, it is like going down a long water slide, nix the water and plus a speed-controlled cart (see photo). There are a bunch of other fun summer activities at Winter Park Resort, including mini golf, a maze, scenic chairlift rides, the leaps & bounds bungee (trampoline with bungee cords) and more. It is always a fun day filled with tons of cool activities at the resort in the summer.
You can get a sweet deal for all-day activity passes for Winter Park Resort at any Front Range King Soopers, at the Breeze Ski Rental store in Dumont (on I-70 before Winter Park exit), or at any location where there is a Livewire Ticket Kiosk. Instead of paying the regular price of $49 for adults or $45 for kids, you can get an all-day pass for $39 or a family four pack for $129. The normal cost to go down the alpine slide just once is $15, so this is a huge deal.
The summer activities at Winter Park Resort are open from 10am – 5pm daily until September 7th, then on Fridays – Sundays until September 27th. Take a day or two to come to Winter Park for the resort activities and all of the other fun things to do in the area.
