Winter Park’s New Movie Theatre: The Foundry

Winter Park new movie theatre and bowling alley have arrived and the building looks great.  Offering two movie screens and eight lanes of bowling The Foundry Cinema & Bowl looks to be great addition to Winter Park’s entertainment offerings.

The Foundry Cinema and Bowl is not your typical movie theatre or bowling alley.  Featuring wood fired pizza and a full bar you will be getting some good grub with your flick and strikes.

Summer 2012 opening hours are from 4PM ’till 11:30PM.   The Foundry is currently showing Spiderman and Disney Pixar’s Brave.  There is no matinee movie currently.  Movies have a first showing between 5PM and 6PM and a second showing around 7PM and 8PM for each movie screen.

Not in the mood for a movie? Opt for the one of the 8 lanes of bowling. Get the family and friends, put on your bowling shoes and relax in one of the comfy couches over looking the bowling area. Order some pizzas and coctails and bowl the night away. Plus for kids (or bad bowlers), with the click of a button the gutters are guarded so everyone can hit a few pins – even the little guys.

How about a game of billiards on one of the professional sized tables, or challange your mate to a game of shuffle board.

The Foundry Cinema & Bowl is Grand County’s newest movie theatre and offers two cinemas. The over-sized stadium seating has cup holders and stow-away tables. And yes you can bring a drink from our fully stocked bar to the show. In addition to the movies The Foundry will be showing special events, concerts and sporting events!

Here’s a sample of their pizza menu, plus they carry Woolybooger micro beer from Grand Lake Brewing Company as well as other brews on tap.  PBR pitchers are $6 all day, every day.

PIZZAS: Quattro Fromaggi $10, Pepperoni $11.50, Caramelized Onion $11, Margherita $9, Cheese $8.  In addition, movie theater concessions are available. So grab some za and then head into a movie with your favorite beverage.
