While fire danger concerns has forced many areas in Colorado to cancel their Independence Day fireworks display this year, Winter Park is currently still planning on lighting up the night sky this 4th of July.
This past Friday, Grand County commissioners enacted a stage 1 fire ban (prohibiting open burning and the use of private fireworks), however gave the thumbs up for the area’s commercial fireworks displays in Grand Lake & Fraser (venue for the Lance Gutersohn 4th July Celebration).
In addition to hosting one of the few fireworks displays in Colorado, Winter Park has a full line up of events in store for visitors.
Join the Winter Park locals this Independence Day at Lance Gutersohn’s 4th of July Celebrationat the Fraser Ball fields. Sit back and relax as the kids tire themselves out running & playing on the huge grassy fields, bouncing around on giant inflatables and dancing the day away to live music from DJ Michael. Then, as the night draws close, wrap the little ones up in a blanket and get ready for the ‘oooooohhhhs & aaaaahhhhhs!’.
But the weekend of family fun doesn’t need to stop there. Enjoy free music all through the weekend with The Friday Music Series at Winter Park Resort, Music in the Mall at Cooper Creek Square, and one of summer most eagerly anticipated events, SolShine Music Festival featuring Leftover Salmon. Wander through the Village at Winter Park Resort on July 6th to witness the artisan melting pot that is The Village Uncorked! Or put a little wild in your western weekend and get your hands dirty at the High Country Stampede Rodeo.
Whatever your pleasure, Winter Park has something in store for everyone this 4th of July. For full details of all the 4th Of July Events In Winter Park, click here.
