Lunch Hot Spots

Lunch is one of the times that you can either grab and go, or take your time and enjoy a little bit of down home nourishment. We realize that most of the time you’ll be out on the hill, but if you take a day off to come into town, be sure to check out our favorite Winter Park lunch spots.

Downtown Winter Park Lunch

Rudi’s Deli (970) 726.8955 This is probably our favorite spot to grab a sandwich to bring back to the office. They’ve got great variety and combinations. The office favorite is by far the turkey with sprouts and avocado. Mention that you are a guest of Winter Park Lodging Company and you’ll get a free soda with your sandwich purchase. http://www.rudisdeli.com/

Smokin’ Moe’s Bar-B-Q (970) 726.4600 Always delicious, with fast and friendly service, this is a great spot for the kids. The portions are big, and the bottomless sodas or ice tea will make you float away. The only place in town with a soup and salad bar.  They are located on the ground floor of Cooper Creek Square, just beyond the bear fountain. http://smokinmoes.com/

Deno’s Mountain Bistro (970) 726.5332 Great for a snowy day when you want to warm up. The copper topped tables invite you to enjoy the best French Onion Soup in town.  They also have a great beer selection here for happy hour. You can find them downtown about a block past the red light at Vasquez Rd. http://denoswp.com/

Fraser Valley Hot Dog (970) 726.1021 Not only the best hot dogs in town (and maybe Colorado) but also a smokin’ good burger.  The fuzzy dog and the double burger with cheese and bacon are WPLCo favorites.  Fraser Dog Matt runs the show and usually knows your name and what you before you order.  Located on US 40 on the right as you come into Winter Park.

The Smokehouse BBQ (970) 722.0227 The newest bbq hot spot in Winter Park is serving up some of the best pulled pork and smoked meats in the Colorado high country.  Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and serving beer and wine. Located on the South side of US 40 in the old Pizza Hut building.

Lunch and Beer at the Ski Resort

Club Car(970) 726.1442 Head over to the base of the Jane for a great lunch. Newly remodeled, the Club Car is a fabulous spot to relax for lunch or grab a beer when you are spent.

Pepperoni’s Pizza If you just want to grab a quick slice and get back on the snow, this is the place to drop in. It’s always hot and ready, and the beer is always cold.  Make sure to join the beer mug club for a cool $20.

Lunch Rock If you find you can’t make it over to the Jane, try the little restaurant at Lunch Rock, just off the Sunnyside lift. They don’t have a huge menu, but they do serve a great pulled pork sandwich.  Not a better spot on the mountain than at the Rock with a burger, beer and beach chair looking over the Continental Divide.

Coffee Counter at Sunspot For the days when you are cold and need a little pick me up to keep you going, we suggest you head to Sunspot to grab a hot chocolate and a cookie. The flavor changes with the day, so you can stop in every day and get something different. A barista and coffee bar will keep you warm and get you back n the ski hill.

Lunch in Fraser, CO

What once was the Fraser Brazier has now been opened up as a roadhouse burger joint.  They have very good burgers and fresh handmade tamales. http://www.theditchon40.com/
