Fraser Valley Fourth of July Celebration
July 4th from 3:00pm – 10:00pm
Every year, locals and visitors alike bring their families, BBQs and blankets to the Fraser Ballfields to play & relax out in the gorgeous mountain air for the 4th of July. Kids run & play on the huge grassy fields, live music sounds for listening and dancing, and everyone enjoys the day as we wait for the spectacular fireworks display at nightfall. Run for Independence
Saturday of 4th of July weekend from 8:00am – 1:oopm
This is a five-mile race course from the base of Winter Park Resort to the Town of Fraser. With an elevation loss of over 600 feet, anyone can enjoy walking or running on the scenic and paved Fraser River Trail to help raise money for the Scott Hughes Endowment Fund. This foundation provides scholarships for children on kidney dialysis to attend Camp Chief Ouray at Snow Mountain Ranch-YMCA of the Rockies. Registration will be available online soon or you can register at the starting line from 8:00am – 9:00am at Winter Park Resort. Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfasts
Saturday and Sunday
The pancake breakfast provided by the Fraser Valley Lion’s Club is a delicious tradition for Independence Day weekend in Winter Park. Kick off the day with all you can eat pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee for only $6 (or only $4 for 12 and under). From 7:30 am to 11:00 am both Saturday and Sunday. Hi Country Stampede Rodeo
Saturday of 4th of July weekend starting at 7:00pm
Kick the city off your shoes at “the best little rodeo in Colorado.” The Hi Country Stampede main rodeo starts at 7:00pm, and the Junior Rodeo (free) and BBQ starts at 4:00pm. There’s Bronco Bustin’, Calf Roping, Bull Riding, plus kids can even participate in Mutton Bustin! There’s also a free junior rodeo before the main show starting at 4pm.
