Cooper Creek Square

Find entertainment for the family at Cooper Creek Square on a day off from the outdoors or for an evening out on the town. There is a variety of good restaurants, shopping, fun activities and neat events happening throughout the year at the quaint outdoor mall.  You can’t miss it with it’s central location on the main street in downtown Winter Park.

Events

Music on the Mall

On Friday nights in the summertime, you can catch a free live music concert in the square’s plaza next to the fountain. It’s always a great way to kick off the weekend before having dinner at one of the restaurants in Cooper Creek Square. The show is from 5 to 7pm.

Labor Day Block Party

There’s no better way to end the summer than with a party – a block party and street dance that is! Enjoy live music by Nathan Maxwell & the Original Bunny Gang, horse-drawn carriage rides, KidsZone crafts, face painter and huge sidewalk sales…don’t miss it. From 1pm-4pm on Sept 3rd, 2011.

Restaurants

We love the Star of India’s lunch buffet and the margaritas at Carlos and Marias. You can also get a good Chinese lunch or dinner at the New Hong Kong Restaurant. The newest addition is Alberto’s, the little brother of one the Valley’s best restaurants called the Tabernash Tavern.

For lunch and breakfast, there is the Mountain Grind Cafe. They have great desserts and gelato, in addition to espresso drinks, soups, sandwiches and neat souvenirs. Right behind the mall is Carver’s Bakery, in a little white cottage, serving lunch and breakfast until 2pm. The eggs benedicts are the best and they also serve espresso drinks and freshly baked pastries and bagels.

Check out  The General Store for Winter Park t-shirts, Silver Mountain Jewelry for some earrings for mom, the Powder Tools for the hippest snowboards and gear or Anastasia’s with handmade Russian nesting dolls and more.
