The terrain at Sol Vista’s lifts access can be ridden by beginners, but has some of the narliest experet trails around, drawing Internation biking competitions and hard-core downhillers from all over the country. Arapahoe National Forest surrounds Winter Park, Trestle Bike Park, Fraser and Granby, and contains hundreds of miles of more trails that are excellent for mountain biking. From beginner flat trails to super rocky and steep advanced trails, this is the place to expand your mountain biking horizons. Devil’s Thumb Ranch is a nordic ski center in the winter, and once the summer melts the snow, the cross-country ski trails morph into rolling trails that are great for beginner and intermediate mountian bikers. YMCA/Snow Mountain Ranch is another nordic center with a nice variety and almost 100k of trails for mountain biking. This place is a cheaper alternative to Devil’s Thumb Ranch and also has a variety of other activities, including an olympic size swimming pool, hiking trails and more.
