Just over one mile long, this is a great little hike for families with young children or older adults. Pack a picnic to enjoy at one of the many picnic tables, and enjoy the fresh Winter Park air.
The trailhead is located at the Bonfils Stations Outdoor center, directly across from the main entrance to Winter Park Resort on Hwy 40 (the last stoplight in Winter Park when heading towards Berthoud Pass). Follow the boardwalk to the right through the forest and past a number of perfect picnic areas. Marshy areas provide wildlife opportunities and beatiful views of the Continental Divide.
This is a great wheelchair accessible trail and fun loop for a family with elderly or small children coming along. Bring a picnic and make a fun afternoon out of it.
