Winter Park Resort has announced an added jazz show for the night of the 25th at Winter Park Resort at the West Portal Station. Show will be from 8PM to 2AM. LOOOOVVEEDD the Jazz Festival this year – - I was initially disapointed that it wasn’t at the slope (we haven’t been for 3 years) but I got over it ok. SAX FOR STAX was a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!! Loved Fourplay and WAR too – -ACTUALLY everyone was GREAT!!! Was quite bummed that I didn’t get to see Boney James again (I stuck it out man – - got my legs beat-up with hail) but I know the weather was pretty bad. We won’t miss a year again… alot ALOT of fun!! GREAT people too – THAT is one of the best things about the jazz festival! INCREDIBLY DIVERSE people that all get along! What a concept huh?
This was my first year attending the Winter Park Jazz Festival, I must say that i was very impressed! I only attended the Sunday show, but i enjoyed the Rippingtons, and Gerald Albright. The acoustics were amazing. So bummed i didn’t get to see Boney James perfomed. He was the main reason i went this year. I stuck it out with a bunch of his loyal fans in rain and hail. But in the end the stage and eqipment were soaked and would have been to dangerous for him to play. i hope that he does come back next year and that the weather is much better!
This was my first time in Colorado and attending the Winter Park Festiival. I was really amaze to see some many people enoying the the show as much as I did. Hats off to Warren Hill, Ripplington & Sax for Stax. Everyone was great and Becky Tayor (the MC) kept everyone interested. See ya next year!
